Held every spring, the Capital City Food Truck Convention is unlike any other conference and trade show in the food, beverage and hospitality industries. This conference gathers together under one roof, the industry’s brightest chefs, entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders for two days of education, professional development and networking with fellow vendors and industry providers. The convention features workshops for aspiring and current mobile entrepreneurs, event and meeting planners and local government agencies  who license and permit food trucks. This year's event will take place at DOC 5, the space above Union Market at 1309 5th St NE, Washington, DC 20002.

    Each year we recognize exceptional individuals who have contributed a significant amount to the mobile vending industry. This year's awards ceremony will take place Saturday, March 19th, 7pm.

    Food Truck of the Year

    Awarded to a food truck who has achieved and set exceptionally high standards for entrepreneurship and food truck operations as well as excellence in food and customer service.
    Previous winners: Arepa Zone, Dirty South Deli

    Service Award

    Awarded to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication, selflessness and service to the greater food truck industry. 
    Previous Winners: Tom MacDonald, Camden Lee, Karen Wrege 

    Challenger Award

    Awarded for accomplishments in innovation, challenging the status quo, expanding opportunities and advancing the food truck industry.

    What does registration include?

    Registration includes admission to both days of the Convention, Sunday breakfast, lunch and dinner, Monday breakfast.

    How much does registration cost?

    Registration fees are based on time of purchase. Members of the DMV Food Truck Association also receive a discount. Registration prices will be reflected on our website once you click register.

    Where is the conference?

    Sunday's portion of the conference will be held at DOC 5, the space above Union Market at 1309 5th St NE, Washington, DC 20002. Monday's portion will be held at a nearby off-site location, soon to be determined.

    Can I attend for just one day?

    Yes. The price will either remain the same or change, depending on which day you'd like to attend.

    Is there parking?

    Yes. There is plenty of free parking in the parking lot, garage and street.

    What is the attire for awards banquet and dinner?

    The attire is semi-professional or casual
